“A young couple describing themselves as ‘two plus dogs’ requested a home with a spacious kitchen and an aesthetic that combines modern and traditional. Chosen for its spectacular view, their site in Northport presented just a sliver of level buildable terrain between bold ledge and steep slope….To naturally fit with the land, the main axis of the house aligns with topography: skewed terrace, deck, and balcony, and balcony elements induce an orientation sympathetic to the off-axis viewscape and rotate the entrance favorably to welcome visitors.”
